THE BOARS HEAD
Pembrey Village

At Around 1820 Pembrey was a number of house situated around the centre of the village and called the Square, also in the Square was the Church and 3 Public Houses, The Red Lion, The Commercial Arms, and The Boars Head. The Boars Head was at the top of the Hill opposite the Church and to the right of the Old Vicarage on the right hand side of the Comunity Centre Gates (which was not built at the time), the Boars Head is now demolished.
The Boars Head was occupied by the Williams family for almost 120 Years, and was built around 1801, the first date I have come across relating to the Boars Head is 1817, with the burial of David Williams and the Williams' continue until the early 1920's when the Gravell's become residents, below is a transcript of the Census reports for 1841-1891 for all inhabitants of the Boars head :-
